Principal Consultant
Katie brings more than a decade of success managing projects across the public and private sectors, and expertise in TDM and commercial real estate and development. Prior to joining UrbanTrans, she managed the TMA for Midtown Atlanta, the city’s densest business district. There she worked across the Midtown CID to incorporate TDM principals into aspects of placemaking, capital improvement projects, progressive zoning initiatives, and community events and programming. Always approaching her work with a passion for connecting people to place, Katie is committed to pursuing comprehensive TDM solutions that address the intrinsic link between programming and policy.
Currently, Katie leads UrbanTrans activities for the Georgia Commute Options regional commuter program through specialized employer outreach and in-depth program development across the Atlanta region, while also supporting strategy for a number of TMAs within Atlanta and beyond. Katie’s TDM specialties include employer engagement and consultation, TDM policy, and the intersection of TDM and the built environment. As a project manager, she is most passionate about program and operations improvement, relationship management, and leading strategic repositioning efforts.
Katie is a recipient of ACT’s 40 Under 40 award, and prior to working in TDM, made Atlanta Business Chronicles’ Up & Comers list for real estate and development professionals. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Georgia College and State University and is a TDM Certified Professional (TDM-CP, ACT).
Outside of work Katie can be found antiquing or enjoying a meal with her wife, daughter, and pup, or taking on too many home DIY projects. She is an avid transit rider and a more novice, though enthusiastic, e-biker.
