Paul Leonhardt, AICP
A true planning enthusiast, Paul can spend hours walking cities and watching what Jane Jacobs called the “sidewalk ballet.” He is particularly interested in the intersection of transportation and land use and how we can leverage transportation patterns to create truly livable neighborhoods. Paul brings this passion to UrbanTrans to create transportation demand management (TDM) plans and programs that make transportation a more enjoyable experience bit by bit.
Paul has 5 years’ experience in land use and transportation planning. Since early childhood, he has yearned to understand the world. As a geography major (and having lived and worked in three countries), Paul loves to incorporate concepts from adjacent disciplines and other parts of the world to his projects.
When it comes to his work, Paul is thorough. He meticulously analyzes data to uncover innovative mobility solutions that might otherwise be overlooked.
Paul has a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Cornell University and master-level degree in Geography from Dresden University of Technology in Germany.
