UrbanTrans Team Members Achieve TDM Certification
The Association for Commuter Transportation recently established a national certification program for Transportation Demand Management (TDM) professionals. Three of our teammates –Aaron Gaul, Emily Haar, and Adrienne Boyd –have achieved the certification and join TDM professionals around the world as the industry’s first-ever certified professionals.
Not only are these team members leading the way for the industry, but they can also now demonstrate their dedication and expertise by adding “TDM-CP” to their names.
This certification arrives at a critical point for TDM, as the industry experiences increased congestion in urban cores, mobility challenges in rural and developing regions, the growth of new business districts, shifting commuter patterns, demand for convenience, and the development of technologies that expand mobility options. Furthermore, these challenges have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving our communities in greater need of transportation support than ever before. This certification program lays the foundation to ensure that highly qualified individuals are equipped to meet the challenge of addressing commuters, communities, and employers’ diverse needs.
