Johann likes to introduce himself as a “transportation nerd.” It’s probably accurate–and in the best way. Johann is enthusiastic about new transportation technologies and legislation, and he offers unique insights into how these shifts can affect transportation landscape.

Johann has six years of professional experience in transportation demand management. As the Program Manager for the Perimeter Connects transportation management association, Johann directs program development and partner services for some of Atlanta’s most iconic employers, including State Farm, Mercedes-Benz, and Cox Enterprises. Under his leadership, Perimeter Connects developed a relational database to bring better analytics into the fold of service delivery, evaluation, and planning.

Johann completed his doctoral studies in public policy at Georgia Tech with a focus on transportation and the environment. He has published peer-reviewed research in the journals Transportation Policy and Transportation Research: Policy and Practice. Johann is also a member of the 2020 class of the Association for Commuter Transportation’s ACT ImpACT! Leadership program.

Johann is an avid mountain biker and spends his time away from Atlanta hiking and camping with his wife, son, and daughter. He also has a beloved dog Gus who can sometimes be found in the UrbanTrans office following everyone around.

An effective and compassionate leader, Noe addresses his clients’ needs by removing himself from the situation and focusing on the individuals impacted by their challenge. This approach has empowered him to establish strong employer partnerships when implementing transportation demand management (TDM) programs at UrbanTrans’ Playa Vista Compass, Commute 90067, and Playa District Commute projects. Noe is driven by his commitment and dedication to improving people’s quality of travel through the Los Angeles metro area in a sustainable, economical, and consistent way.

Noe brings a unique perspective to the UrbanTrans portfolio via his workforce development background and understanding of the vital performance elements related to getting people places. Before UrbanTrans, he was tasked with starting an employment development program at a homeless service organization. His strengths in organizational development and data analytics seamlessly transitioned him to his new journey at UrbanTrans to mitigate traffic through TDM program implementation.

Noe received a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Los Angeles in Sociology with a focus on Inequality and Diversity.

When Noe is not working, he’s riding bikes with his family on the Manhattan Beach Bike Trail or putting on his apron to cook up a delicious meal.

Jonny Rotheram

Jonny Rotheram

Jonny’s professional purpose is to encourage more people to bike and walk as a mode of transportation. He is passionate about the wider (and sometimes hidden) benefits active transportation can bring to people’s lives and the fabric of our communities.

Since his move from the UK, Jonny has built upon his European active transportation experience by leading multiple active transportation planning projects ranging from region-wide plans to specific downtown improvements. He is known for pushing the planning process forward, specifically in data collection and data representation to support decision making.

Jonny brings to UrbanTrans more than 10 years of experience in active transportation. He holds a master’s in Transportation Planning from the University of Leeds. Jonny also received a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Geography from the University of Manchester.

In his spare time, Jonny can be found working on his cabin in the foothills of the Rockies, playing soccer (football) or just enjoying the life of a typical Colorado resident (read hiking/camping/fishing/cycling). He recently became a U.S. citizen spurred on by the birth of his daughter.

With a combination of technical knowledge and community development know-how, Callie takes a creative approach to her transportation demand management (TDM) work. She uses that approach to help cross-sector clients with everything from research and analysis, to community outreach, to transforming complex information into accessible visualizations.

Callie brings a deep understanding of urban planning to these tasks, thanks to her experiences with data and spatial analysis and her passion for encouraging the public to support good planning. These experiences – and passion – were nurtured in previous roles at the Atlanta Regional Commission, Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute, and the City of Atlanta’s Watershed Management Department. Callie holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Georgia as well as Master of City and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech.

In her spare time, Callie enjoys finding the best restaurants in Atlanta, thrifting, seeing live music, and exploring new cities.

Robby is dedicated to making cities more livable, inclusive, and accessible through effective programming, policy, and design. He plays a unique role at UrbanTrans, applying both planning and program management skills to key projects including Transportation Solutions, a non-profit transportation management association serving southeast-central Denver.

Robby brings four years of transportation demand management experience to UrbanTrans. More recently, Robby has honed his skills in active transportation planning, transit-oriented development planning, non-profit administration, and reduction of drive-alone commuting through campaigns and outreach.

Inspired by his time living in Amsterdam, Robby pursued a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Colorado, Denver where he focused on transportation planning and urban design.

Outside of work, Robby fills his time running marathons, exploring cities by bicycle, making delicious pizza, and camping and climbing in the Rockies.

Andy is a formidable fighter of entropy and is happiest when improving the processes and procedures that make businesses run like well-oiled machines. Andy brings a program improvement skillset that enhances the productivity of his consultant colleagues. He utilizes his own brand of behind-the-scenes magic to help UrbanTrans grow and thrive both now and for years to come.

Andy has 10 years of program evaluation and improvement experience with the State of Colorado and an additional five years of experience as a department supervisor with a local credit union. At UrbanTrans, he is passionate about working with a brilliant group of people who are doing important and exciting work.

Andy earned a master’s degree in Public Policy Analysis from University of Denver after completing his studies at Drexel University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

When he is not wielding his administrative magic wand, Andy can be found playing with his two kids, handcrafting in his woodshop, or destroying small bits of turf on the golf course.

Amy is passionate about helping individuals and communities explore mobility options that lead to increased quality of life through better personal health and improved air quality. With eight years of experience in both the public and private sectors, Amy specializes in developing transportation demand management (TDM) plans. She has authored or contributed to over a dozen TDM plans for private developers, municipalities, county governments, transit agencies and campuses across the U.S. and Canada.

As a city-dweller, year-round bicycle commuter and transit user, Amy brings personal experience to alternative  transportation planning. Amy’s approach to transportation planning is focused on a traditional gaps and barrier analysis through a behavior change lens.

In addition to her TDM and transportation planning work, Amy is UrbanTrans’ survey programming and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) guru, with her expert analytic capabilities and eye for design.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from John Carroll University. She also earned a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado.

In her spare time, she enjoys riding her bike, trying new restaurants with her husband, and exploring Denver with her toddler son.

Ashley-Grace is a thinker and relishes opportunities to puzzle out the curiosities of human behavior. Her approach is both exploratory and deliberate—she decodes data into actionable insights. The result is a clear path to empowering people to change for the better. She has consistently applied this enthusiasm for problem-solving and integrative thinking the minute she landed at UrbanTrans.

In her role at UrbanTrans, Ashley guides marketing strategy and creative development for our behavior change projects throughout North America. Prior to her arrival, she worked with economic development agencies, governments, and non-profits on transportation and civic challenges.

She earned her Master of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Shorter College in English.

When she’s not busy sparking ideas big and small, Ashley can be found in her kitchen, cheerfully cooking her heart out with her husband and two kids by her side.

When our project managers need someone who can think outside the box, they call on Ulla. With over 13 years of experience in transportation and urban planning, Ulla leads the planning team to provide the most value to our transportation management associations (TMAs).

Ulla works with both the public and private sector clients to develop transportation demand management (TDM), shared use mobility, and active transportation plans and policies. Recently, Ulla has been creating plans and tools that help developers comply with TDM requirements.

Ulla’s work is driven by her strong commitment to sustainability and passion to improve people’s quality of life through planning. She earned her master’s in City Planning at M.I.T. and is accredited by the American Institute of Certified Planners.

In her spare time, she can usually be found on the side of a mountain for a morning hike, in the middle of a lake for a summer swim or navigating the city on a lovely bike ride.

We’re not quite sure what the secret ingredient is, but when Emily’s on your team, your project will have a newfound level of organization, calmness, and productivity. This is why she’s helping deliver some of our biggest projects in transportation demand management (TDM). Emily is passionate about providing TDM solutions because she can see how this work can impact people’s lives for the better. Her empathetic nature is showcased in how she delivers TDM solutions and how she manages program development staff across our offices.

With over a decade of experience, she has managed four TMAs/TMOs across the nation and supported many others in the UrbanTrans portfolio. Emily has developed and implemented TDM solutions for a variety of audiences spanning from office employees at Fortune 500 companies to 24/7/365 coverage staff at some of the nation’s busiest airports.

Emily has a Bachelor of Science in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology, with a certificate in Operations Management. She is an Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) 40 Under 40 Award recipient. Emily previously managed the Perimeter Connects TMA, which was awarded the ACT Outstanding TMA Award for exemplary programs during her tenure.

An ATL native, she recently moved to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Emily spends her time trying to keep up with her two kids, exploring her new home city with her husband, and hiking in the evergreens every weekend.
